I specialize in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and Mocha, with a working knowledge of Cinema 4D, Nuke, Syntheyes, PFTrack, Boujou, Lightroom, and Procreate.
HISTORY
BFA in Film/Animation/Video from Rhode Island School of Design.
Worked as a staff designer at R/Greenberg Associates from 1995-1999. Worked on projects ranging from film titles, broadcast design, commercials, print, website design, to interactive installations.
In 1999 I started a 5 year stint as a freelance artist for many of the design and post-production houses throughout NYC such as Eyeball, Pittard Sullivan, Trollbäck & Co., Psyop, and Razorfish among many others.
From 2004 – 2006 I worked on staff at Click3X as their Senior Design Director continuing my work in the motion graphics, VFX, and print fields, while leading a small team of designers there.
At the end of 2006, I moved to Los Angeles to break into the film industry and to get some more sun and surf. I worked my very few west-coast contacts doing my usual mograph work, and slowly was able to find a foot in the door as an in-house and postvis artist on the film RED. In 2009, I and a partner created SaintsLA, a small post-production studio downtown, where I learned the ins-and-outs of running a business for the first time. 2014 comes, and I’m back in the freelance pool again. Since then I have done VFX work for all the major studios, and many small ones, and I continue to do work in the motion graphics industry for companies such as Logan, Prologue, Mocean, and Ntropic, and from my home studio as well.
Some of my credits include Black Adam (compositor at Cantina Creative), Top Gun (in-house compositor), Star Trek Discovery title sequence (nominated for an Emmy), Bloodshot (postvis and in-house compositor), Allegiant and Insurgent (postvis and lead in-house compositor), The Finest Hours (postvis), GI Joe: Retaliation (postvis, VFX artist and VFX supervisor: SaintsLA), as well as VFX and design for many independent features and shorts.
